Ingredients
Scale
Steak
- 2 Sirloin steaks
Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce (divided)
- 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt (divided)
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper (divided)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400ยฐF (204ยฐC) for at least 5 minutes to ensure it reaches the optimal temperature for searing steaks evenly.
- Season the steaks: Divide 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce between the two steaks, spreading a little on each side. Then sprinkle 1 teaspoon of kosher salt on each steak, making sure both sides are seasoned. Follow with ยฝ teaspoon of black pepper per side on each steak.
- Arrange the steaks in the air fryer basket: Once preheated, place the steaks in the air fryer basket. They can touch but should not be crowded to allow proper air circulation. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
- Cook the steaks: Cook the steaks for 5 minutes initially. Then flip each steak over to cook the other side. Continue cooking for additional time according to your desired doneness (refer to notes for suggested timings).
- Rest the steaks: After cooking, remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a juicier steak.
Notes
- For a rare steak, cook for about 4 minutes per side.
- For medium-rare, cook for approximately 5 minutes per side.
- Medium doneness requires about 6 minutes per side.
- Adjust cooking time according to steak thickness and desired doneness.
- Resting the steak is essential to allow juices to settle and improve tenderness.
