Instructions
- Heat the olive oil: Warm 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
- Add Brussels sprouts cut side down: Place the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts in the skillet with their cut side touching the pan to ensure better caramelization.
- Caramelize sprouts undisturbed: Let the Brussels sprouts cook without stirring for 6 to 8 minutes to develop a deep golden-brown crust.
- Season and stir: Sprinkle salt and ground black pepper over the sprouts, then stir to combine and continue cooking for another 6 to 8 minutes until tender and caramelized on all sides.
- Toss with bacon jam and finish: Add ยฝ cup of bacon jam to the skillet, toss the Brussels sprouts thoroughly to coat them with the jam, and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes on the stove. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
