Description

These Cheddar Bacon Ranch Chicken Wraps are a quick and delicious meal featuring tender chicken strips cooked with crispy bacon, seasoned perfectly, and topped with melted cheddar cheese and crispy onions. Wrapped in warm flour tortillas with fresh lettuce, creamy avocado, and ranch dressing, they’re perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Bacon Mixture

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into very thin strips
  • 1/3 cup chopped bacon
  • 1-2 teaspoons seasoning salt (or any seasoning blend you prefer)

Toppings and Wrap

  • 1/2 cup crispy fried onions (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (adjust to taste)
  • Butter or iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 8 to 10 8-inch flour tortillas, warmed
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup ranch salad dressing (or more to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon and chicken: In a large non-stick skillet over medium to medium-high heat, cook the chopped bacon and chicken strips together. Make sure the chicken pieces are spread out and not crowded in the pan to ensure even cooking. Season with seasoning salt or your preferred seasoning blend. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and the juices run clear.
  2. Add onions and cheese: Reduce heat to low and sprinkle the crispy fried onions and shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken and bacon in the skillet. Let it cook gently until the cheese melts nicely into the mixture.
  3. Assemble the wraps: Place several butter or iceberg lettuce leaves on each warmed flour tortilla. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken, bacon, and cheese mixture on top of the lettuce. Add sliced avocado and drizzle ranch salad dressing over the filling. Roll up the tortillas tightly to enclose the fillings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use thinly sliced chicken breasts for quicker and even cooking.
  • Seasoning salt can be substituted with your favorite seasoning blend like Cajun, Italian herbs, or taco seasoning.
  • Adjust crispy fried onions and cheddar cheese amounts based on your preference for crunch and cheesiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet when cooking chicken to ensure even cooking and browning.
