Ingredients
Scale
Tea Base
- 3 Tazo Passion Tea bags (or other fruit tea containing hibiscus and rose hip)
- 2 liters boiling water (about 8 cups)
Lemonade
- 5 lemons (juice only)
- 1/4 cup liquid honey (substitute maple syrup, agave, or stevia, if desired)
To Serve
- 3 cups ice cubes
- lemon slices for serving
Instructions
- Brew the tea: In a large heat-safe pitcher, steep the 3 Tazo Passion Tea bags in 2 liters of boiling water to extract the flavors of hibiscus and rose hip. Allow the tea to cool for at least 10 minutes before removing the tea bags.
- Chill the tea: Place the brewed tea pitcher in the refrigerator and let it sit for about 1 hour, or brew the tea overnight for deeper flavor infusion and chill until ready to use.
- Prepare lemon sweetener: In a blender, combine the freshly squeezed juice of 5 lemons with 1/4 cup liquid honey or your preferred sweetener. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Mix lemonade and tea: Pour the blended lemon and honey mixture into the cold brewed tea, then add 3 cups of ice cubes to the pitcher for that perfect chilled effect.
- Serve: Stir the mixture thoroughly to combine all flavors. Pour into glasses garnished with lemon slices and enjoy your refreshing homemade Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade.
Notes
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup, agave nectar, or stevia for different sweetness preferences or dietary needs.
- Brewing the tea the night before improves flavor and chills the beverage ahead of time, saving prep time on the day of serving.
- Adjust the amount of sweetener based on your desired level of sweetness.
- For a stronger tea flavor, let the tea steep longer before removing tea bags.
- Add fresh mint leaves for an extra refreshing twist.
