Description

These Delicious & Nourishing Date & Nut Energy Bars are a wholesome, homemade snack packed with natural sweetness from dates and honey, crunchy nuts, and hearty oats. Perfect for an on-the-go energy boost, these bars are easy to prepare, baked to a perfect golden brown, and offer a balanced mix of protein, fiber, and healthy fats.

Ingredients

Scale

Energy Bars Ingredients

  • 1 cup dates, pitted
  • 1 cup nuts (almonds, walnuts, or any mixed nuts)
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (almond or peanut)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) to prepare for baking the bars thoroughly and evenly.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a food processor, add the pitted dates, nuts, oats, honey or maple syrup, nut butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
  3. Blend mixture: Pulse and blend the ingredients until they form a sticky, well-combined mixture that holds together.
  4. Press mixture into pan: Line a baking pan with parchment paper and press the sticky mixture evenly into the pan to create an even layer.
  5. Bake the bars: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the edges turn golden brown and the bars are set.
  6. Cool and cut: Remove the pan from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely before lifting them out and cutting into 12 uniform energy bars.

Notes

  • You can customize the nuts according to your preference or use mixed nuts.
  • Maple syrup can be used instead of honey for a vegan option.
  • Store bars in an airtight container for up to one week or freeze for longer storage.
  • Ensure bars are completely cooled before cutting to prevent crumbling.
