Ingredients
Scale
Strawberries
- 1 pound large fresh strawberries
Filling
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whipped topping or freshly whipped cream
Optional Garnish
- 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips or crushed graham crackers
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberries: Rinse and dry the strawberries thoroughly. Slice off the green tops so the strawberries can stand upright. Cut each strawberry in half lengthwise. Using a small spoon or melon baller, carefully scoop out a small indentation in the center of each half.
- Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
- Fill the Strawberries: Transfer the filling to a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped. Pipe the cream cheese mixture into the hollowed center of each strawberry half.
- Add Garnish and Chill: Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips or crushed graham crackers if desired. Chill for 20โ30 minutes before serving. Serve cold.
Notes
- Make sure strawberries are completely dry before filling to prevent the mixture from sliding.
- These are best enjoyed the same day they are made.
- For variation, add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the filling or drizzle with melted chocolate.
