Instructions
- Heat treat the cake mix: Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF. Spread the dry Funfetti cake mix evenly on a baking sheet and bake for about 5-10 minutes to make it safe for consumption. Alternatively, you can microwave the mix in a bowl on high for 20-45 seconds, checking frequently as microwave power varies.
- Combine ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the heat-treated cake mix, Cool Whip, vanilla Greek yogurt, and rainbow sprinkles. Use a whisk, wooden spoon, or electric mixer to blend all ingredients thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and lumps are gone.
- Chill the dip: Transfer the dip into a serving bowl and optionally sprinkle additional rainbow sprinkles on top for a festive look. Refrigerate the dip for at least 20 minutes to allow it to set and enhance the flavors.
- Serve with dippers: Offer the chilled dip with your choice of dippers such as animal crackers, teddy grahams, pretzels, graham crackers, or Nilla wafers. While it can be enjoyed at room temperature, chilling yields the best texture and taste.
