Description

These Healthy Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters are a delicious and nutritious frozen treat combining fresh strawberries, creamy vanilla Greek yogurt, and rich chocolate. Perfect for a refreshing snack or dessert, they require minimal ingredients and no baking, making them easy to prepare and enjoy any time. The combination of sweet fruit, protein-packed yogurt, and antioxidant-rich dark chocolate makes these clusters a guilt-free indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit & Dairy

  • 1 1/2 cups diced strawberries (approximately 250g after dicing)
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt or dairy free Greek yogurt (240g)

Sweeteners

  • 2 tbsp honey or pure maple syrup (optional if using sweetened yogurt)

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (170g)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (12g) (optional, for smoother chocolate coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace. Line a baking sheet or large platter with wax or parchment paper to prevent sticking and make it easier to remove the frozen clusters.
  2. Mix ingredients. In a large bowl, stir together the diced strawberries, vanilla Greek yogurt, and honey or maple syrup until fully combined, ensuring an even distribution of flavors.
  3. Form clusters. Using a spoon, drop dollops of the strawberry yogurt mixture onto the lined baking sheet. Spread each dollop slightly into a patty shape for even freezing.
  4. Freeze clusters. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze the clusters for at least three hours or overnight until they are completely frozen solid.
  5. Melt chocolate. Carefully melt the chocolate chips either in short intervals in the microwave or by using a double boiler on the stovetop. For a smoother, creamier coating, stir in the optional coconut oil while the chocolate is warm.
  6. Coat clusters in chocolate. Remove the frozen clusters from the freezer and quickly dip each one into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are well coated. Place the clusters back onto the lined sheet.
  7. Set chocolate coating. Return the chocolate-coated clusters to the freezer for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to harden completely.
  8. Serve and store. Enjoy the clusters cold as a refreshing treat. Store leftover clusters in a covered container in the freezer, where they will remain fresh for up to three months.

Notes

  • Use dairy-free yogurt and dairy-free chocolate chips to make this recipe vegan.
  • If your yogurt is already sweetened, you can omit the honey or maple syrup.
  • Add a tablespoon of coconut oil to melted chocolate for a smoother coating and easier dipping.
  • These clusters are best enjoyed frozen but can soften slightly at room temperature.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer to maintain freshness and texture.
