Ingredients
Scale
Vegetables & Aromatics
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 small red bell pepper, finely diced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Main Protein
- 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak, chopped into small pieces
Seasonings & Sauces
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Dairy & Cheese
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 cups shredded provolone cheese, divided
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare it for baking the dip later.
- Sauté Vegetables: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and fragrant.
- Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, taking care not to burn the garlic.
- Cook Steak: Add the chopped ribeye steak to the skillet along with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked through.
- Melt Creamy Ingredients: Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until the mixture is completely melted, smooth, and well combined.
- Add Cheeses: Remove the skillet from heat. Fold in 1 cup of shredded provolone cheese, the mozzarella cheese, and the grated Parmesan cheese evenly through the dip mixture.
- Prepare for Baking: Transfer the dip mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup provolone cheese evenly over the top to create a cheesy crust.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the dip is hot, bubbly, and the top cheese is melted and lightly golden.
- Cool & Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the dip to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices, tortilla chips, or soft pretzels for dipping.
Notes
- Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat and flavor.
- Substitute sirloin steak for ribeye if preferred to adjust cost or texture.
- Serve with toasted baguette slices, tortilla chips, or soft pretzels to complement the creamy dip.
