- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

- ยฝ teaspoon garlic powder
- ยผ teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) to prepare it for baking the crab dip.
- Mix Base Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well blended and smooth.
- Fold in Crab Meat: Gently fold the drained lump crab meat into the cheese mixture, taking care not to break up the crab meat too much to preserve its texture.
- Prepare for Baking: Transfer the crab and cheese mixture into a baking dish and spread it evenly for even cooking.
- Bake the Dip: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top. Serve warm with crackers, pita chips, or fresh bread for dipping.
Notes
- Be careful not to overmix the crab meat to maintain its chunky texture.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the mixture.
- This dip can be prepared a day ahead and refrigerated before baking; just add an extra 5 minutes to the baking time if baking straight from cold.
- Use lump crab meat for best flavor and texture; imitation crab will alter the taste significantly.
- For a lower-fat version, you can substitute light cream cheese and reduced-fat mayonnaise and sour cream.
