Description

Delightfully nostalgic and perfect for summer gatherings, these S’mores Rice Krispies Treats combine the classic flavors of s’mores with the crunchy, gooey texture of traditional Rice Krispies. Layers of marshmallow-infused cereal, melty chocolate, and extra mini marshmallows come together in a simple no-bake treat thatโ€™s irresistibly delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 (12-ounce) bag jumbo marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 2 cups Golden Grahams cereal
  • 2 1/2 cups mini marshmallows (divided)

Topping

  • 4 Hershey bars (broken into pieces)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a 9ร—9 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly butter it to ensure easy removal of the treats after setting.
  2. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the jumbo marshmallows and stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  3. Add Vanilla and Mix Cereals: Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Immediately mix in the Rice Krispies, Golden Grahams, and 1 1/2 cups of the mini marshmallows until everything is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  4. Layer the Mixture: Spread half of the cereal and marshmallow mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Evenly distribute half of the Hershey bar pieces and mini marshmallows over the layer.
  5. Add Second Layer: Top with the remaining cereal mixture, pressing it gently into the pan without compressing it too much. Finish by sprinkling the remaining Hershey bar pieces and mini marshmallows on top.
  6. Cool and Set: Allow the layered treat to cool completely at room temperature so it sets properly. Once firm, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper for easier cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  • Press the mixture gently to maintain a light, airy texture.
  • For extra gooeyness, warm Hershey bar pieces slightly before layering.
  • Store treats in an airtight container to keep them fresh for up to 3 days.
  • To make cutting easier, lightly grease the knife or dip it in warm water before slicing.
