Description

This Texas Roadhouse Salmon recipe offers a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, featuring a tender salmon fillet glazed with a sticky brown sugar and soy sauce mixture. Baked to perfection, it’s a quick and easy dish that brings bold flavors to your dinner table in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper. This ensures easy cleanup and prevents the salmon from sticking.
  2. Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the glaze generously over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  4. Bake the Salmon: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 8 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the fillets. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has reached an internal temperature of 145ยฐF (63ยฐC).
  5. Rest and Garnish: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, keeping the salmon moist. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving to add a burst of color and freshness.

Notes

  • Ensure the salmon is fresh and of good quality for the best taste and texture.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness to avoid overcooking.
  • If you prefer a spicier glaze, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red chili flakes to the glaze mixture.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables or a side salad for a complete meal.
